Welcoming Ceremony at Heathrow
Earlier that day, the Prince and Princess of Wales greeted the German presidential couple at London’s Heathrow Airport. Their arrival marked the first German state visit to the UK in 27 years, paving the way for a three-day diplomatic engagement.
For the welcome, Kate opted for a blue coat from Alexander McQueen, designed by Sarah Burton, combined with a navy Burberry dress. To complete her ensemble, she wore stylish suede boots and a hat by Juliette Botterill. Additionally, she accessorized with double-drop sapphire and diamond earrings, a wedding gift to Princess Diana from Crown Prince Fahd of Saudi Arabia. The Prince of Wales feather brooch, featuring three ostrich feathers and a coronet, was also part of her look and has been worn by both Diana and Queen Camilla.
