Velleron Christmas Market Celebrates 10th Edition on December 6-7
The Velleron Christmas Market is set to mark its 10th edition on December 6-7. This annual event has become a highlight for those who cherish local crafts and festive atmospheres.
10th Edition of Velleron Christmas Market
The market will take place at the historic old hospital venue in Velleron. Organized by the Créartist association, which has been curating this event since 2010, the market promises a unique shopping experience centered around handmade creations.
What to Expect at the Market
- Over 20 exhibitors showcasing local artistry
- One-of-a-kind items such as delicately crafted jewelry and vibrant paintings
- Handmade ceramics, driftwood objects, and sweet treats
Catherine Magnet, the president of Créartist, emphasized the importance of featuring only original creations, stating that there will be no resales. “This is a small market where we aim to preserve its original intimate and festive spirit,” she remarked. To enhance the holiday ambiance, all exhibitors are encouraged to wear Christmas attire and decorate their stalls in red, gold, and green.
Family-Friendly Activities
The market will cater to families as well. A food truck will offer crepes, providing a culinary option for visitors wishing to spend the entire day at the event. Children will have the chance to meet Santa Claus for photos and can send their wishes through a designated mailbox set up for their letters.
Additional Festivities
On Saturday evening, starting at 6 PM, the FestiVelleron association will host the Fête des Lumières. This event will feature a lantern procession and illuminated vehicles that will light up the village streets for a magical evening.
