Liam Gleason, the head coach of Siena men’s lacrosse, passed away at the age of 41 after suffering a traumatic brain injury from a fall at his home. His death was announced by the school on Wednesday, three days after the accident.

Gleason is survived by his wife and three children. In response to the tragedy, a fundraising initiative has been launched to support the family’s needs in the future.
A tribute took place at the hospital where Gleason was taken for surgery to donate his organs. Dozens of individuals, including Siena players, school officials, and members of the University at Albany athletic community, gathered to honor him as he was wheeled into surgery.
