Indiana University celebrated significant achievements in football as the Big Ten announced its offensive honorees. The announcement took place during a program on the Big Ten Network. Quarterback Fernando Mendoza stood out among the recipients, earning both the Offensive Player of the Year and Quarterback of the Year honors.

Fernando Mendoza’s Honors

Mendoza received the prestigious Graham-George Player of the Year award. This accolade commemorates former football legends Otto Graham and Eddie George. Additionally, he was honored with the Griese-Brees Quarterback of the Year award, named for Bob Griese and Drew Brees.

Carter Smith’s Accomplishments

Alongside Mendoza, Carter Smith shone brightly. He was awarded the Rimington-Pace Offensive Lineman of the Year, recognizing the excellence of Dave Rimington and Orlando Pace. Both Mendoza and Smith achieved first-team All-Big Ten status, a testament to their exceptional performances this season.
