Belfast Airport Reveals £100 Million Upgrade for Dining Experiences
Belfast International Airport, as part of VINCI Airports, is set to undergo a major transformation aimed at enhancing dining experiences for travelers. This initiative is part of a larger five-year investment plan valued at £100 million (€114 million).
Key Developments in Dining Experience
The upgrade has officially commenced with the launch of the new coffee bar, Soul & Grain. This venture is a partnership with SSP Group, a leader in food travel service. Kari Daniels, CEO of SSP UK & Ireland, expressed excitement about this collaboration and noted their two-decade relationship with Belfast International Airport.
New Dining Options
Among the significant projects planned is a premium bar-and-kitchen concept that will seat 300 patrons. Established brands, such as Starbucks and Burger King, will maintain their presence, while a new casual dining restaurant will cater to families and groups. Further enhancements include:
- Renovation of the Lagan Bar to increase seating capacity.
- Upgrades to previous facilities, including the security hall and duty-free shopping area.
- Improvements to the arrivals zone and the forecourt.

Dan Owens, Chief Executive of Belfast International Airport, highlighted the airport’s vision. He stated, “Northern Ireland is famous worldwide for its hospitality and fantastic produce.” This investment reflects a commitment to showcasing local offerings.
