Ceremony Details
The Broyles Award ceremony will take place in Hot Springs, Arkansas. This year, it is scheduled for February 12-13, 2026. Traditionally, the event occurs in December; however, it has been moved to February this year.
A Brief History
Established in 1996, the Broyles Award honors outstanding assistant coaches. It was named after Frank Broyles, a College Football Hall of Famer. Broyles began as a backfield coach at various institutions, including Baylor and Georgia Tech, before becoming head coach at the University of Arkansas.
During his tenure at Arkansas from 1958 to 1976, he secured seven Southwest Conference championships and the only national championship in the university’s history. Broyles was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1983 and passed away in 2017.
