Chain Reaction in Anaheim Permanently Closes After 30 Years
Chain Reaction, the iconic music venue in Anaheim, has announced its permanent closure after almost 30 years of operation. The all-ages club has been a cornerstone of the alternative music scene, providing a platform for both local and national talent.

In a heartfelt message on Instagram, the venue expressed gratitude for the memories shared within its walls. “For almost 30 years, Chain Reaction has proudly fostered the alt-music scene,” the post stated. The closure was a difficult decision, with the team reflecting deeply before making it.

Chain Reaction first opened in 1996, originally known as Public Storage Coffee Lounge. Tucked away in a strip mall on Lincoln Avenue, it initially did not serve alcohol, creating a safe space for young music enthusiasts aged 15 to 20.

Over the years, Chain Reaction became a vital platform for emerging bands. Many artists who reached mainstream success, including Avenged Sevenfold, Fall Out Boy, and Rise Against, had their early performances at this storied venue.
