According to AAA, approximately 122.4 million Americans plan to travel at least 50 miles from home between December 20 and January 1, marking a 2.2% increase from the previous year.

Driving remains the most popular mode of transportation, with around 109 million travelers opting to hit the road. Approximately 8 million will fly, while nearly 5 million will use other means of transport. This preference for car travel is attributed to its convenience and cost-effectiveness.
