Snowy Conditions Halt School Buses in Parts of the GTHA
Inclement weather has led to significant school bus cancellations throughout parts of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). On December 10, 2025, while schools remain operational, many bus services have been disrupted.
School Bus Cancellations Across GTHA
The following outlines the current status of school bus services in various regions:
York Region
- All buses in the York District School Board and York Catholic District School Board are cancelled.
- Schools in the region remain open.
Halton Region
- Buses servicing Halton District School Board and Halton Catholic District School Board in Zone 2 and Zone 3 are cancelled.
- Despite cancellations, schools are still open to students.
Peel Region
- In Peel Region, all school buses to Zone 3 (Caledon) have been cancelled.
- Schools affiliated with Peel District School Board and Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board are operational.
Durham Region
- All school buses in Durham have been cancelled.
- Schools remain open for students and staff.
Toronto
- Buses are operating for schools in both the Toronto District School Board and Toronto Catholic District School Board.
- Some delays are anticipated due to the weather conditions.
Hamilton
- Buses are operational in Hamilton, though delays are expected.
