The NHL has unveiled the official jerseys for the 2026 Navy Federal Credit Union Stadium Series, scheduled for February 1, 2026. This event will take place at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET. Both the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Boston Bruins will debut unique designs that celebrate their respective team histories and regional influences.
NHL Stadium Series Jerseys: Tampa Bay Lightning
The Lightning’s jerseys pay tribute to Tampa’s maritime heritage, inspired by pirate lore. The design features an innovative pirate shoulder patch and a jolly roger, symbolizing the area’s historical significance. A subtle reference to a pirate necklace is also included inside the collar, emphasizing the theme.
This outdoor game marks a historic occasion as it will be the first-ever NHL outdoor game held in a football stadium in Florida. It occurs just one day after the famed Gasparilla Pirate Fest, further connecting the event to local culture.
Creative Insights
Dom Fillion, Senior Creative Director at Fanatics, expressed the aim of capturing local cultural elements. “The jerseys showcase a sense of discovery and reflect the city’s vibrant maritime history,” he said.
The Lightning’s new uniforms also introduce a sky blue color. This choice draws inspiration from the lively atmosphere during home games at Benchmark International Arena. “Our aim was to convey the energy of a Bolts game through the jersey’s colors,” Fillion added.
NHL Stadium Series Jerseys: Boston Bruins
The Boston Bruins will sport bright yellow jerseys with sun motifs on the sleeves. This design nods to Florida’s sunny disposition. The front features a bold “Boston” label, while the bear logo includes the word “Bruins” for an added touch of team pride.
Additionally, the Bruins’ shoulder patch incorporates a “B” monogram marked with bear claw scratches. On the collar, abbreviations of the six New England states will enhance local connections.
Cultural Representation
Fillion aimed to celebrate both the Bruins and New England’s rich traditions. “We wanted to ensure that fans feel a deep connection to their heritage,” he noted. This element will allow fans to express their pride even when supporting the team away from home.
