Arc Raiders Update Resolves Major Exploits, Embark Shifts from Weekly Fixes
Embark has introduced an important update for Arc Raiders, addressing various gameplay issues while announcing a shift in the update schedule. This came ahead of the holiday season and aims to improve player experience significantly.
Key Fixes in Patch 1.6.0
Patch 1.6.0 focuses on resolving four critical issues:
- Removal of the zipline on Stella Montis, previously allowing players to access out-of-bounds areas.
- Correction of a collision problem in Blue Gate that permitted players to pass through walls.
- Fixing material issues where bullets or player vision were not obstructed by specific objects.
- Patching a vulnerability at the Spaceport Launch Tower, which allowed players to be hit through walls.
These fixes aim to enhance the game’s reliability and reduce exploits that have affected gameplay.
Update Schedule Changes
Alongside these improvements, the community manager, Ossen, provided insights into the new update rhythm. Since the game’s launch, the team has released patches every Thursday. However, this cadence will shift.
“Our goal is to continue to investigate and fix critical issues,” Ossen stated. “But updates will no longer occur weekly.” From now on, updates and store changes will happen less frequently, specifically on Tuesdays.
Upcoming Break and Future Plans
As the winter holiday approaches, the development team will take a break to recharge. Ossen confirmed that they will continue to monitor critical issues during this period. The team plans to return in January with additional updates.
With this adjustment, the developers aim to maintain the quality of Arc Raiders while allowing their team a well-deserved rest after a year of significant achievements.
