Kirby Moore is 35 years old and hails from Prosser, Washington. He is known for his football pedigree, being the younger brother of Kellen Moore, who coaches the New Orleans Saints. Kirby began his football journey under the guidance of their father, Tom Moore, at Prosser High School.

He later played college football as a wide receiver at Boise State from 2009 to 2013, where he overlapped with Kellen for two seasons. After completing his college career, Moore transitioned into coaching.

2017-2022: Served at Fresno State under coaches Jeff Tedford and Kalen DeBoer.
2022: Helped Fresno State secure the Mountain West title as offensive coordinator.
2022-Present: Appointed offensive coordinator at Missouri.

Success at Missouri

During his time at Missouri, Moore has achieved notable success. The Tigers recorded a 29-9 overall record, including an impressive 11-win season in 2023, during which they also claimed a Cotton Bowl victory. The previous season ended with a 10-3 record. Despite challenges, including quarterback Beau Pribula’s ankle injury, the Tigers finished the season with an 8-4 mark.

Moore’s offense at Missouri was particularly strong, ranking first in rushing within the SEC and fourth in third-down efficiency.

Challenges Ahead at Washington State

Moore takes over the head coaching position at Washington State following Jimmy Rogers, who left to coach at Iowa State after just one season. The Cougars finished the season with a 6-6 record and still have a bowl game to play.
