Roisin Willis, a standout in middle-distance running, has announced her decision to turn professional, concluding her NCAA eligibility. The announcement was made on Friday evening in Stanford, California.
Roisin Willis’ Journey at Stanford
Over her collegiate career, Willis has established herself as one of the most accomplished athletes in Stanford’s history. She is the reigning NCAA Outdoor 800-meter champion and the 2025 U.S. champion in the same event. Remarkably, she is one of only four athletes to win both titles in a single season.

Willis has been recognized as an eight-time All-American, with five first-team honors. In addition, she won 800m conference titles in the ACC in 2025 and in the Pac-12 in 2024.
Her achievements extend beyond athletics. Willis was honored as the USTFCCCA West Region Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year last season, and she also received the same honor for the indoor season in 2023.
