UM Reveals Fall 2025 Graduation Candidates
The University of Montana (UM) has announced that over 800 students are set to graduate in the autumn semester of 2025. This includes current degree candidates and those who have already received their awards.
Graduation Honors at UM
The students’ achievements are noteworthy, with designations that reflect their academic performance:
- Cum Laude: GPA of 3.40 to 3.69
- Magna Cum Laude: GPA of 3.70 to 3.89
- Summa Cum Laude: GPA of 3.90 and above
It is important to note that the official awarding of degrees and any corresponding honors will only occur after students complete their final enrollment term and meet all academic requirements.
Fall 2025 Commencement Ceremony Details
UM has scheduled its Fall Commencement ceremony for 2 p.m. on Friday, December 12, in the Adams Center. This gathering will celebrate the accomplishments of the graduating class.
Honorary Degree and Address
During the ceremony, Lana Batts, a distinguished UM alumna and a veteran of the trucking industry, will be honored with an honorary doctorate. She will also deliver the Commencement address, sharing insights from her extensive career.
