Reilly Selected as AVCA Player of the Year Finalist for Nebraska
Nebraska junior setter Bergen Reilly has been recognized as a finalist for the prestigious AVCA Division I Women’s Volleyball Player of the Year Award. She is one of four notable contenders, alongside Olivia Babcock from Pittsburgh, Mimi Colyer from Wisconsin, and Eva Hudson of Kentucky. The winner will be announced on December 19 at the AVCA Awards Banquet in Kansas City.
Bergen Reilly’s Season Highlights
This season, Reilly played a pivotal role in leading the Huskers to a remarkable 33-1 overall record. They proudly finished with a perfect 20-0 record in Big Ten play, securing their third consecutive conference title. Under her direction, Nebraska achieved a school-record .351 hitting percentage.

Nebraska’s .351 hitting percentage ranks first nationally and marks the best hitting percentage by a Big Ten team since 2009. Reilly was instrumental in achieving a .400 or better hitting percentage in nine matches this season, establishing a new school record for the rally-scoring era.

Throughout the season, Reilly displayed remarkable consistency, recording double-doubles in every match that extended beyond three sets. She also achieved four double-doubles in matches that were won in straight sets.

A two-time AVCA All-American, Bergen Reilly is third in career assists in Nebraska’s rally-scoring era, with a total of 3,723. Her career assists per set average of 10.70 places her fourth among active Division I players and second in the history of Nebraska volleyball.
