Plot Overview

In “Sponsor,” Jason Segel portrays Peter, a man facing severe consequences after a night of excessive partying leads him to a devastating mistake. Following a terrible accident, Peter is confronted with a difficult choice: serve time in prison or enter a recovery program. Doubting that he has a drinking problem, he reluctantly attends his first meeting in search of a sponsor.

It is there that he meets Jerry, played by Reilly. Jerry is described as a no-nonsense yet charismatic figure who could potentially guide Peter through his tumultuous journey.
