Biographical Details of Bishop-elect Peter Dai Bui
Monsignor Bui was born on January 11, 1970, on Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam. His early education included studies at the Legion of Christ Minor Seminary. In 1989, he joined the Legion of Christ Novitiate in Cheshire, Connecticut, where he made his First Profession in 1991.
Education and Ordination
Bishop-elect Bui later attended the Pontifical Athenaeum in Rome, where he obtained degrees in philosophy and theology, as well as a licentiate in philosophy in 2003. He was ordained a priest on December 24, 2003, for the Legionaries of Christ.
Pastoral Experience
His pastoral career has spanned various roles, including:
- Chaplain at a private Catholic school in Caracas, Venezuela (2003-2006)
- Associate Pastor at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Queen Creek (2007-2008)
- Associate Pastor at Christ the King Parish, Mesa (2008-2010)
- Pastor at Resurrection Parish, Tempe (2010-2011)
- Pastor at Holy Spirit Parish, Tempe (2017-2022)
