Life and Career of Adelia ‘Ada’ Zeidler

Ada Zeidler was born on May 2, 1960, in Los Angeles. She was the daughter of Nick Clooney, a journalist and TV host, and Nina Bruce Warren, a writer. Ada’s passion for art led her to become an elementary art teacher at Augusta Independent School in Augusta, Kentucky, where she was also actively involved in the local community.

Ada pursued further education in Louisville and Northern Kentucky, later working as a bookkeeper. She married Norman Zeidler, a retired army captain, on March 14, 1987. Clooney participated by reading scripture during the ceremony, and their aunt, Rosemary Clooney, performed at the event.

Ada’s Legacy

Although she maintained a low profile, Ada attended significant family events, including George Clooney’s wedding to Amal Clooney in Venice, Italy, on September 27, 2014. She was known for her humor and courage in facing her illness, surrounded by her loved ones at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, Kentucky, at the time of her passing.

She is survived by her children, Nick Zeidler and Allison Zeidler Herolaga, along with her husband, Kenny Herolaga. Her family, including her brother George and his wife Amal, are mourning her loss. Additionally, Ada was preceded in death by her husband, who passed away on October 11, 2004.

Memorial and Tribute

A memorial service will take place for Ada Zeidler on Monday, December 22. In honor of her memory, donations can be made to the Knoedler Memorial Library in Augusta.
