Brooklyn Beckham Blocks Parents David and Victoria Amid Family Rift
Brooklyn Beckham has reportedly blocked his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, on Instagram. This action has stirred rumors of a family rift that has reportedly been brewing for some time. The incident became public after rumors circulated that David and Victoria unfollowed their oldest son on social media.
Social Media Disconnect Among the Beckhams
On December 21, Cruz Beckham, Brooklyn’s younger brother, addressed these rumors. He shared a screenshot of a Daily Mail article on his Instagram Stories, categorically stating, “NOT TRUE.” He defended their parents, emphasizing that they would never unfollow their son. Instead, he added, “They woke up blocked as did I.”
Instagram does not notify users when they are blocked. This means Brooklyn, 26, no longer follows his parents and vice versa. Additionally, David and Victoria are not following Brooklyn’s wife, actress Nicola Peltz Beckham, who likewise does not follow them.
Underlying Family Tensions
The reported block on social media has fueled ongoing speculation about tensions within this famous family. Many believe the rift began after Brooklyn married Nicola in 2022. This was further highlighted when Brooklyn and Nicola did not attend David’s 50th birthday celebration in London. The event was attended by Victoria and their other children, including Cruz, 20; Romeo, 23; and Harper, 14.
Recent Family Dynamics
- Brooklyn shared a video in May expressing his commitment to always choose Nicola.
- Hours later, Cruz posted a family photo, saying, “I love you guys more than anything, mum + dad.”
In interviews, Victoria Beckham hinted at potential strains within the family. Meanwhile, Brooklyn dismissed outside criticism, stating, “There’s always going to be people saying negative things. We just keep our heads down and work. And we’re happy.”
The ongoing social media dynamics among the Beckham family continues to attract attention, leaving fans curious about the state of their relationships.
