Stalker’s Experience and Achievements
Lee Stalker comes to the Vandals with over 14 years of coaching experience. He spent the last three years at Iowa State, focusing on their defense. During his tenure, the Cyclones had notable success, including:
- Five players awarded All-Big XII honors.
- Seven players named Academic All-Conference.
- Ranking 26th in FBS by allowing just 20 points per game in 2025.
- A strong rush defense, yielding only 138 yards per game.

Defensive Strengths at Iowa State
In 2025, Iowa State finished with an impressive 11-3 record, the best in its history. Their defense led the Big XII in pass defense and was fourth in scoring. In Stalker’s first year, the team was recognized as the most improved in FBS, improving its win total significantly.
