The Pittsburgh Steelers recently made changes to their practice squad roster. Receiver Brandon Johnson has officially joined the team, while defensive lineman Kyler Baugh has been released.
Brandon Johnson’s Journey
Brandon Johnson is no stranger to the Steelers. He spent time on their practice squad during the 2024 season. Notably, he was elevated for two games: Week 7 against the New York Jets and Week 8 against the New York Giants.
Prior to his time with the Steelers, Johnson signed as an undrafted free agent with the Denver Broncos following the 2022 NFL Draft. Over two seasons, he contributed to both the active roster and practice squad. In 2023, he participated in 13 games for the Broncos, compiling 19 receptions for 284 yards and four touchdowns.
