Man Charged in Fatal Wilmington Assault on Christmas Eve
Wilmington police have apprehended a suspect linked to a fatal assault that occurred on Christmas Eve. The violent incident took place around 6 p.m. on December 24, 2025, in the 200 block of North Lincoln Street.
Details of the Incident
The victim, a 68-year-old woman, was discovered injured and was immediately transported to a local hospital. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. As of now, her identity has not been disclosed.
Shooting Suspect Arrested
The authorities have charged 50-year-old Dario Griner with murder and various weapons offenses. He was found inside the victim’s home when police arrived at the scene. Following his arrest, Griner has been placed in custody.
