Exclusive: Unveiling the 2025 List of France’s Most Beloved Figures
The latest barometer from Ifop, conducted for TF1 and LCI, reveals the 2025 list of France’s most beloved figures. The results were published on December 26. For the ninth consecutive year, singer Jean-Jacques Goldman retains the top spot as the favorite personality of the French. At 74 years old, Goldman has consistently ranked at number one since 2013, with a single exception in 2016 when actor Omar Sy claimed the title.
Changes in the Podium
Goldman remains steady at the peak, but notable changes accompany him this year. Florent Pagny rises to second place, while Francis Cabrel jumps from ninth to third, marking his highest ranking to date. This reshuffle see Omar Sy and Olympic champion Teddy Riner drop to fourth and fifth places, respectively. Zidane, who is seen as a potential future coach of the French national football team, holds the fifth position.
Top Women and Athletes in the Ranking
- The first woman in the list is Sophie Marceau, landing in sixth place.
- Mylène Farmer follows her at seventh, while Thomas Pesquet, Soprano, and Michel Sardou complete the top ten.
Following the success of the Paris Olympics in 2024, several athletes feature prominently. Teddy Riner ranks eleventh, swimmer Léon Marchand is fourteenth, and football stars Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappé follow in twenty-fifth and thirty-eighth places, respectively. Interestingly, the political figures do not fare as well, with only Jordan Bardella at twelfth and Marine Le Pen at twenty-third making it to the top fifty.
Additional Notable Personalities
Within the broader context, the TF1 network has several representatives in this year’s list. Jean-Luc Reichmann, known for hosting “Les Douze Coups de midi,” is positioned at fifteenth. Weather presenter Évelyne Dhéliat ranks forty-fourth, while Nikos Aliagas, recognized for his roles in “Star Academy” and “The Voice,” comes in at forty-eighth. Other prominent media figures include Anne-Claire Coudray (fifty-first), Audrey Crespo-Mara (fifty-fourth), and Isabelle Ithurburu (fifty-eighth).
