Shondell Secures Transfer of Lameen Mambu
Outside hitter Lameen “Mimi” Mambu has officially transferred to Purdue University’s volleyball team, as announced by head coach Dave Shondell. Mambu previously played for Georgia Tech, where she showcased impressive skills during her freshman season.
Lameen Mambu’s Impressive College Career
In her inaugural season at Georgia Tech, Mambu demonstrated her talent by leading the team with 345 points and 304 kills. Her performance not only highlighted her offensive capabilities but also contributed significantly to the Yellow Jackets’ advancement to the NCAA tournament.
Key Achievements at Georgia Tech
- Played in all 30 matches, making 25 starts.
- Averaged 2.92 kills per set, demonstrating consistent offensive prowess.
- Recorded a season-high of 17 kills against Georgia on September 19, 2025.
- Achieved a career-high of 20 points in a match against Arkansas State, along with 16 digs.
- Posted an impressive .481 attack percentage during a match at Clemson.
