Columbia University’s men’s basketball team has made headlines in the Ivy League this week. Senior guard Kenny Noland earned the title of Ivy League Player of the Week, while first-year athlete Miles Franklin was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week. These accolades stem from their exceptional performance in a recent game.

Kenny Noland’s Outstanding Performance

In a thrilling match against North Florida, which Columbia won 90-82, Noland showcased his scoring prowess. He equaled his career-high with 27 points, shooting 60% from the field with 9 of 15 successful attempts. Additionally, Noland contributed four rebounds and three assists while sinking four three-pointers.

This season, Noland has accumulated six games scoring over 20 points. He is currently just 28 points shy of reaching the significant milestone of 1,000 career points.

Miles Franklin’s Impressive Rookie Stats

Fellow teammate Miles Franklin also had an impactful game. He achieved a personal best of 19 points, along with a career-high seven rebounds. Franklin recorded his seventh game this season with double-digit scoring, going 6 for 12 in field goals and 7 for 8 from the free-throw line.
