Kiciński has acquired 100% of GOG sp. z o.o. for PLN 90.7 million. This acquisition is fully funded through committed resources obtained at the time of closing. Importantly, it does not involve selling any shares from Kiciński’s holdings in CD PROJEKT.

GOG was co-founded by Kiciński in 2008, aiming to bring back classic games for players. He emphasizes that GOG represents core values like freedom and ownership. “The vision was simple: once you buy a game, it truly belongs to you — forever,” Kiciński stated.

Maciej Gołębiewski, the Managing Director of GOG, shared insights on the acquisition. He noted that GOG aims to preserve and rejuvenate classic games. After the acquisition, CD PROJEKT and GOG signed a distribution agreement detailing future collaborations. This includes plans for releasing upcoming CD PROJEKT RED games on the GOG platform.
