Mrs. Patricia Elledge Brooks, aged 82, passed away on December 28, 2025, at the Atrium Health-Wake Forest Baptist-Wilkes Medical Center, located in Wilkesboro.
Funeral Arrangements for Patricia Elledge Brooks
Funeral services will take place on December 31, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Lewis Fork Baptist Church. Rev. Dwayne Andrews will officiate the ceremony. Prior to the service, the family invites friends to visit from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church.
Burial and Location
Following the funeral, Patricia will be laid to rest at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
Legacy of Patricia Elledge Brooks
Born on June 29, 1943, in Wilkes County, Patricia was the daughter of Sherlie and Juanita Hamby Elledge. She was affectionately known as “Maw Maw” by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous family friends.
Patricia dedicated her life to creating a welcoming home, teaching invaluable life lessons, and fostering a spirit of love and togetherness in her community and family.
Family and Survivors
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Roy Arnold Brooks, her son-in-law Ray “Buzz” Norman, Jr., a sister Debbie Elledge, a brother-in-law Dickie Welborn, and a sister-in-law Ann Elledge.
She leaves behind her daughter Robin Brooks Norman of State Road, two sons Randy Arnold Brooks (Chantel) and Richard Eric “Ricky” Brooks (Julie), both from Wilkesboro. Patricia is also survived by twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren:

- Jonah Brooks of Wilkesboro
- Taylor Brooks (Amanda) of North Wilkesboro
- Bethany Brooks of Wilkesboro
- Skylar Brooks of Wilkesboro
In addition, she is survived by her sister Gail Welborn of Purlear and brothers Larry Elledge of Ferguson and Barry Elledge (Susan) of Darby.
