The journey to a biographical film began with the documentary “Song Sung Blue,” directed by Greg Kohs. Kohs, enchanted by Lightning & Thunder’s performances in the early 1990s, dedicated time to document their lives. Brewer felt a deep connection to the story, which later inspired the feature film.
