Jeffrey’s Drug Store, situated on North Central Avenue in Canonsburg, announced the cancellation of deliveries due to the severe weather conditions. Pharmacist Gerry O’Hare explained, “It was impossible. Six inches came down between two and five in the morning.”
Challenges in Delivery Services

- O’Hare felt the decision to halt deliveries was necessary for safety.
O’Hare, who had plans to fly to Nashville early Tuesday, expressed surprise at the snowfall accumulation by 2 a.m. He decided against traveling due to worsening conditions.

The rapid accumulation of snow created hazardous driving conditions, especially on major routes like Route 19 at Weavertown Road. The roads transformed into slushy and slippery passages, prompting caution among motorists.

Residents reacted to the heavy snowfall in various ways. Canonsburg local Bruce Boehm noted, “We were supposed to have an inch to two, and here we got eight, maybe more.” Many residents took the opportunity to assist their neighbors by clearing paths and driveways.
