Canucks’ DeBrusk and Kampf Return to Face Flyers
Jake DeBrusk is set to return to the Vancouver Canucks’ lineup as they face the Philadelphia Flyers. After being a healthy scratch against the Seattle Kraken, DeBrusk will come back to the team alongside David Kämpf. Coach Adam Foote confirmed their return, replacing Aatu Räty and Nils Höglander.
Lineup Changes for the Canucks
In addition to DeBrusk and Kämpf, defenceman Elias Pettersson will also sit out, making way for Pierre-Olivier Joseph. Foote explained that DeBrusk’s absence was meant to provide him with a much-needed reset.
DeBrusk’s Performance
So far this season, DeBrusk has recorded nine goals and eight assists in 37 games. However, he currently holds a minus-nine rating, with just one goal scored at even-strength.
DeBrusk’s Reaction
Feeling disappointed about his performance, DeBrusk remarked, “It sucks, it’s embarrassing. Missing a game is a tough pill to swallow.” He acknowledged his need for improvement and stated the importance of focusing on his future play.
Kampf’s Situation
Kämpf, who is 30 years old, joined the Canucks after a contract termination with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He signed a one-year, $1.1 million deal and has contributed one goal in 17 games for Vancouver.
Upcoming Game Details
The Canucks will meet the Flyers on Tuesday night. Fans can catch the action starting at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.
