The Washington County Aging, Disability, and Resource Center (ADRC) is currently seeking volunteers, particularly in Germantown, where the demand for drivers is high. This program caters to approximately 200 seniors across the county, ensuring they receive nutritious meals and social engagement.

Monica Kammack, the meal site manager, emphasizes the importance of this program, especially given the rising cost of living. Many seniors live on fixed incomes, resulting in difficult choices regarding food and healthcare expenses. Kammack notes, “For some, a meal at home may consist of just toast and coffee.”
