Patriots’ Christian Barmore Charged with Domestic Assault
New England Patriots defensive tackle Christian Barmore has been charged with domestic assault. This charge, which includes one count of assault and battery on a family or household member, follows an incident that occurred on August 8, 2023.
Incident Details
According to court documents, the confrontation began over temperature settings for the air conditioner, which Barmore allegedly wanted adjusted from 70 degrees to 68 degrees. Tensions escalated further during a dispute about food. The victim reportedly informed law enforcement that Barmore forcefully took her phone while she attempted to leave the residence.
The victim described her intention to call for help by opening the door. However, Barmore allegedly restrained her before she could do so, throwing her to the floor. These allegations form the basis of the legal complaint filed against him.
