The Warszawska Kolej Dojazdowa (WKD) has announced significant updates to its train schedule. These changes will be in effect from January 1 to June 28, 2026. The new service regulations will enhance travel along key routes.

New WKD Train Schedule Details

The revised schedule will allow train services on the line from Grodzisk Mazowiecki Radońska to Warszawa Śródmieście to operate on both tracks. This will be applicable on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Weekday Service

  • During peak hours, trains will run every 10 minutes between Warszawa Śródmieście WKD and Podkowa Leśna Główna.
  • Outside of peak hours, the frequency will be every 15 minutes.
  • Trains heading to Grodzisk Mazowiecki will run every 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Services to Milanówek will maintain a frequency of one train every 40 minutes.

Weekend and Holiday Service

The schedule for Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays will see reduced frequency. However, services will still operate on both tracks.

  • Trains from Warszawa Śródmieście WKD to Podkowa Leśna Główna will run every 20 minutes.
  • Connections to Grodzisk Mazowiecki will occur every 20 to 40 minutes.
  • Train services to Milanówek will operate once every 60 minutes.

Future Adjustments

It’s important to note that the current train schedule may be subject to change. These adjustments will occur due to an ongoing project titled “Improving Safety in Passenger Rail Services on the WKD Line.” This project includes the replacement of tracks and switches to enhance safety and efficiency.

Passengers are encouraged to stay informed about potential changes to train timings as the work progresses. The WKD aims to provide reliable and efficient service to its users during this period of transition.
