Disney’s blockbuster, “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” has once again claimed the top spot at the U.K. and Ireland box office. In its second weekend, the film generated £6.1 million (approximately $8.2 million), bringing its total gross to £20.8 million (around $28 million), as reported by Comscore. This sequel effectively dominated the Christmas box office, significantly outpacing a competitive lineup of new releases.

Upcoming Releases
The U.K. cinema landscape is preparing for the first major wide release of 2026, set for Thursday, January 1. Universal will launch the musical drama “Song Sung Blue” in over 300 locations. Directed by Craig Brewer, the film features star performers Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson.
On the same day, Viavix will release “No Time for Goodbye,” a Hong Kong drama directed by Don Ng, starring Lam Yiu-Sing and Kitty Yu.
