Oilers Recall Howard and Hutson from Condors for Enhanced Roster
The Edmonton Oilers have strengthened their roster by recalling forwards Isaac Howard and Quinn Hutson from the Bakersfield Condors, the team’s AHL affiliate. This decision reflects their commitment to enhance team performance as the NHL season progresses.
Isaac Howard’s Impressive Track Record
Isaac Howard, 21, has made significant contributions while with the Condors. He accumulated 23 points, comprising 10 goals and 13 assists, in just 16 games. Before his stint in the AHL, Howard played 17 games in the NHL, where he scored two goals and added an assist.
Howard is recognized for his exceptional college performance, winning the Hobey Baker Award as the NCAA’s top men’s hockey player last season. He accomplished this feat at Michigan State University, where he scored 26 goals and provided 26 assists in 37 games.
Quinn Hutson Continues to Shine
Quinn Hutson has also been impressive in the AHL, recording 32 points through 19 goals and 13 assists in 26 games. His performance this season includes a notable achievement of scoring his first NHL goal while playing for the Oilers in December, after which he returned to the Condors.
At 24 years old, Hutson has a solid background in college hockey as well. In the 2024-25 season, he netted 23 goals and contributed 27 assists in 38 games while playing for Boston University.
Recent Performances
- Howard netted four goals and six assists in his last four games with Bakersfield.
- Hutson scored six goals and provided two assists in his four most recent appearances in the AHL.
Roster Changes and Updates
In conjunction with these recalls, the Oilers announced a loan move for forward Max Jones. Jones will join the Condors after contributing one goal and one assist in eight games during his NHL stint.
This strategic roster move highlights the Oilers’ proactive approach to strengthen their lineup as they aim for success in the ongoing season.
