Tampere’s Tohlopin Ice Now Open for Skating
The Tohlopin ice rink in Tampere has officially opened for skating. This announcement comes just in time for the winter season. Skaters can now enjoy the first recreational skating path in the Pirkanmaa region this year.
Details About Tohlopin Ice Rink
The rink opened to the public on a Saturday morning. According to ice maintenance operator Tuukka Tuominen, the ice thickness was measured between 10 to 15 centimeters on opening day. Although the rink has been cleared of snow, it has yet to be smoothed out due to the ice not being strong enough to support the weight of the ice planer.
