Florida Traffic Stop Leads to Island Boys Rapper’s Fentanyl Arrest
Frank Venegas, popularly known as one half of the viral music duo “Island Boys,” has been arrested again. His latest arrest took place on December 31, 2023, during a traffic stop in Collier County, Florida.
Florida Traffic Stop Details
The incident occurred when Collier County deputies pulled over a black Mercedes-Benz that failed to yield at a crosswalk. The location of the stop was near State Road 29 and Kaicasa Lane.
Arrest and Findings
Venegas, who is 24, was a passenger in the vehicle. During the stop, he reportedly made suspicious movements, which prompted deputies to conduct a search. The search revealed:
- A Chase debit card in Venegas’s name.
- A cut straw that tested positive for fentanyl.
- A gray bag containing a Zolpidem pill alongside fentanyl residue.
Olivia Dubois, the driver, was also arrested on drug-related charges.
Legal Troubles and Future Court Dates
This arrest comes while Venegas was still on bond for a prior case involving firearms and drugs. He faces new charges for possession of drug paraphernalia and is currently held at the Collier County Jail.
His arraignment is scheduled for January 21, 2026. This incident adds to a series of legal issues for Venegas, including a February 2025 case that involved oxycodone and an altered firearm.
