Anthony Joshua has shared his first update since sustaining injuries in a tragic car crash in Nigeria. The collision resulted in the deaths of two of his close friends, Sina Ghami and Latif ‘Latz’ Ayodele.

The incident occurred when Joshua was a passenger in a Lexus SUV that crashed into a stationary truck on a major expressway near Lagos. His two friends and team members did not survive the accident. Both funerals took place at a London mosque last Sunday.
On Wednesday, Joshua was discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment for his injuries. He returned to the UK shortly thereafter.

Legal Developments
Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, the driver involved in the crash, has been charged at Sagamu Magistrates’ Court. The charges include causing death by dangerous driving. He has been granted bail of 5 million naira (£2,578) but remains in custody until certain conditions are met.
The next session of the court case is scheduled for January 20.
