Inter Miami CF has announced the signing of Canadian goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair, who is set to bolster the team’s goalkeeping unit. The contract extends through the 2026 Major League Soccer (MLS) season, with an option for an additional year, covering the June 2027 sprint season.

Dayne St. Clair’s Impressive Career

The 28-year-old goalkeeper garnered notable recognition following his tenure with Minnesota United, where he achieved the title of 2025 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year. St. Clair played a pivotal role in leading Minnesota to two consecutive Western Conference semifinals in 2024 and 2025.

Accomplishments and Impact

  • Two-time MLS All-Star (2022, 2025)
  • MLS All-Star Game MVP (2022)
  • 2025 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year
  • League leader in save percentage (77.93%) in 2025
  • Most saves (113) and clean sheets (10) in the 2025 regular season

St. Clair’s exceptional performance saw him become the only goalkeeper in 2025 to maintain a goals-against average of 1.00, alongside a save percentage exceeding 75%. His distinguished achievements earned him a place on the Canadian national team, making his senior debut during a Concacaf World Cup Qualifying match in 2021, where he recorded a clean sheet in a 7-0 win against Aruba.

A Bright Future with Inter Miami CF

After a successful spell with Minnesota United, St. Clair joins Inter Miami CF as a free agent. He is expected to play a key role in the club’s future, especially in light of the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026.

With his extensive experience and outstanding track record, St. Clair’s addition aims to strengthen Inter Miami CF’s roster. He will remain contracted with the club until June 2026, with the potential for further engagement in the following season.
