Durham Police: Shooting Leaves Driver Dead, Woman Injured in Car Attack
Durham Police are currently investigating a shooting that resulted in a tragic loss of life and severe injuries. The incident occurred on Sunday night at approximately 9:05 p.m. in the 3500 block of Hillsborough Road.
Shooting Details
According to police reports, the shooting involved a 2024 Chevy Malibu traveling west. As the vehicle moved along Hillsborough Road, another vehicle approached from the right side. Without warning, an occupant of this second vehicle opened fire on the Chevy Malibu.
Consequences of the Attack
The driver of the Malibu lost control, leading the car to eventually come to rest in the parking lot of a Wendy’s restaurant. Emergency services were quick to respond, and the driver was taken to the hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
