Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs Join Cast of Amazon’s Tomb Raider

Amazon Prime Video is ramping up its upcoming Tomb Raider TV series by adding renowned actors Sigourney Weaver and Jason Isaacs to its growing cast. This adaptation of the beloved video game franchise will also feature Sophie Turner, who is set to portray the iconic character, Lara Croft.

Creative Team Behind Tomb Raider

The Tomb Raider series will be co-showrun by Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Chad Hodge. Jonathan Van Tulleken, recognized for his work on Dope Thief and Shogun, is attached as director and executive producer. The project is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Crystal Dynamics, and Story Kitchen.

Waller-Bridge, a long-time fan of the Tomb Raider franchise, began developing the series in early 2023. In May 2024, Amazon officially ordered the production for the show.
