After a notable six-year run, Bowen Yang is departing from “Saturday Night Live” (SNL). He joined the iconic sketch comedy show in 2018 and developed into a prominent member of the cast. This transition comes on the heels of SNL announcing its upcoming hosts and musical guests for January 2026.

Upcoming Hosts and Musical Guests on SNL

SNL is set to return to Studio 8H for three consecutive episodes this January. This lineup showcases an exciting mix of first-time hosts and popular musical guests.

January Schedule

  • January 17: Finn Wolfhard (host) / A$AP Rocky (musical guest)
  • January 24: Teyana Taylor (host) / Geese (musical guest)
  • January 31: Alexander Skarsgård (host) / Cardi B (musical guest)

Finn Wolfhard, known for his role in “Stranger Things,” is set to host his debut episode on January 17. Coinciding with this appearance, A$AP Rocky will make his first musical guest appearance, promoting his new album “Don’t Be Dumb,” releasing on January 16.

The following week, Teyana Taylor will also be making her debut as an SNL host. Her episode, aired on January 24, will feature electronic band Geese as the musical guest. The final episode of January will feature Alexander Skarsgård hosting for the first time, accompanied by Cardi B.
