- 37 cm at Tomintoul
- Up to 5 cm in parts of England and Wales
Temperatures remain frigid, with daytime highs in the low single figures. Parts of northern Scotland are expected to experience temperatures plummeting below freezing.

On Friday night, Loch Ness recorded temperatures nearing -6°C. Forecasters predict further drops overnight on Saturday, potentially reaching as low as -10°C to -17°C in northern Scotland. These plummeting temperatures are attributed to persistent strong northerly winds.
Impact on Travel and Services
ScotRail announced several train cancellations, primarily affecting northern routes such as those in Wick and Inverness. Numerous roads in affected regions have also been closed, further complicating travel plans.

According to Met Office meteorologist Greg Dewhurst, while some regions may experience winter sunshine, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and western Wales will still see snow and sleet. He emphasized the expected continuation of cold temperatures across the UK due to the prevailing Arctic air.
Warnings in Effect Through Monday
Heavy snowfalls may isolate some rural communities and raise concerns about potential power outages. The Met Office’s yellow warnings remain in effect for multiple areas:
- Southwest England, including Cornwall
- Northwest England, including Manchester and Blackpool
- Regions north of Edinburgh and Glasgow until 12 PM on Monday
- All of Northern Ireland
- Much of Wales under an ice warning on Saturday, with a yellow warning from Sunday until Tuesday at 11 AM
