With 17 seasons as a defensive coordinator, Schwartz has held positions with teams including the Titans from 2001 to 2008, the Bills in 2014, and the Eagles from 2016 to 2020. Notably, he played a crucial role in helping the Eagles secure victory in Super Bowl LII, while his defense led the league with an impressive 79.2 rushing yards allowed per game.

Throughout his long career, Schwartz has guided eight different defensive linemen to double-digit sacks during a season, achieving this feat ten times.
