Eight Huskers Secure CSC Academic All-District Honors
Eight members of the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team have received accolades for their academic achievements. The College Sports Communicators (CSC) have named them Academic All-District honorees for the current academic year, highlighting their dedication to both athletics and academics.

- Jason Maciejczak (Offensive Lineman)
- Luke Lindenmeyer (Tight End)
- Dane Key (Wide Receiver)
- Derek Branch (Defensive Back)
- Brice Turner (Defensive Back)

Lindenmeyer’s Distinction
Among these outstanding student-athletes, Luke Lindenmeyer has earned the distinction of being a CSC Academic All-American finalist. This selection positions him for potential recognition on a national level, as he aims for Academic All-America honors.
Season Highlights
In the previous season, Lindenmeyer made a significant impact on the field. He started all 13 games, recording:
- 29 receptions
- 312 receiving yards
- 2 touchdowns
These statistics contributed to his All-Big Ten honors received from coaches and media. Notably, he achieved a personal best with seven catches in a single game against Michigan, just shy of the school’s single-game record.
Academic Criteria
To qualify for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must meet specific criteria:
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50
- Participate as a starter or key reserve
- Be classified as a sophomore athletically and academically
