Pokémon TCG Unveils Mega Evolution: New Pokémon ex Set Launches Soon
The Pokémon Company International has announced an exciting expansion for its popular Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). Titled “Mega Evolution—Perfect Order,” this new set will be available at retailers around the globe starting March 27, 2026.
Overview of Mega Evolution—Perfect Order
This expansion marks a significant development in the TCG series, introducing new Mega Evolution Pokémon, rooted in the Pokémon Legends: Z-A video game. For the first time, the expansion will be themed on Lumiose City, a location featured in the game.

- Mega Starmie ex
- Mega Clefable ex
- Mega Skarmory ex
These Mega Evolution Pokémon ex are distinguished by their high HP and attack potential. However, players must be cautious as they forfeit three Prize cards when these Pokémon are knocked out.
Highlighted Cards
This expansion features a variety of valuable cards, including:
- Four Mega Evolution Pokémon ex
- Eleven illustration rare Pokémon
- Eighteen ultra rare Pokémon and Trainer cards
- Six special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporter cards
Availability and Tournaments
Additionally, Prerelease tournaments will allow players to engage with the new set before its official launch. These events, part of the Play! Pokémon program, will begin on March 14, 2026, at selected independent retailers.
Digital Access
For those who prefer digital play, the “Mega Evolution—Perfect Order” set will be available starting March 26, 2026, through the Pokémon TCG Live app. This app is compatible with iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows devices. Players can collect and battle using the new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex and earn in-game rewards while logging into the app.
