Packers’ Parsons and McKinney Earn Spots on AP All-Pro Team
In a remarkable achievement, Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Micah Parsons has secured a spot on the first-team AP All-Pro list, while safety Xavier McKinney settled for the second team. This recognition comes from a voting process involving 50 members of the Associated Press.
Micah Parsons’ All-Pro Recognition
Parsons garnered 19 first-team votes as an edge rusher, totaling 68 points. This marks the fourth All-Pro selection in his five seasons, with prior honors of first-team in 2021 and 2022, followed by a second-team recognition this year.
Xavier McKinney’s Performance
Xavier McKinney received seven first-team votes as a safety and finished with 31 total points. This is his second consecutive All-Pro selection, following his first-team recognition last year. In the 2025 season, McKinney recorded impressive stats, including 107 tackles, 10 passes defended, and two interceptions, while leading the team with 1,053 defensive snaps.
Season Highlights and Trades
Parsons was acquired from the Dallas Cowboys in August, a trade that included defensive lineman Kenny Clark and two first-round picks. Despite suffering a knee injury, Parsons showcased an outstanding performance with 41 tackles, 12.5 sacks, and 83 quarterback pressures across 14 games.
Historic Achievements
With a standout performance of 2.5 sacks in a Thanksgiving game against Detroit, Parsons became the first NFL player since 1982 to achieve over 12 sacks in each of his first five seasons. He also ranks fifth for the most sacks in the initial five years of a career. Only legends like Reggie White, J.J. Watt, T.J. Watt, and Derrick Thomas have recorded more.
Pro Bowl and Legacy
Earlier this month, Parsons was named to his fifth consecutive Pro Bowl, making him the first defensive player to achieve this since Aaron Donald. Coach Matt LaFleur praised Parsons, highlighting his unique talent and the challenges he poses for opponents.
Other All-Pro Votes from Packers
Additionally, several other Packers players received All-Pro votes, demonstrating the team’s overall talent:
- Punter Daniel Whelan – 3 first-place votes
- Right tackle Zach Tom
- Receiver Christian Watson
- Safety Evan Williams
- Linebacker Edgerrin Cooper
- Cornerback Keisean Nixon
- Long snapper Matt Orzech
Micah Parsons and Xavier McKinney’s selections to the AP All-Pro teams solidify their status among the elite players in the league and highlight the strong performance of the Green Bay Packers in the current season.
