Organizers have officially announced the conclusion of Boulevardia, Kansas City’s largest music festival, after a decade-long run. The festival, which combined live music, local artisans, and craft beer, first debuted in 2014.

Boulevardia’s Journey

Initially launched as a two-day event in the West Bottoms, Boulevardia relocated to the Stockyards District in 2017. By 2022, the festival found its home at Crown Center. In 2023, the event transitioned to a single-day format.

A Celebration of Music and Local Culture

Boulevardia was renowned for its diverse musical lineup. Artists from various genres graced its stages, including:

  • DJ Jazzy Jeff
  • Dashboard Confessional
  • Hanson
  • Kansas City Latin Jazz Orchestra
  • Katy Guillen & The Drive
  • Tech N9ne

The festival also highlighted local crafts and culinary offerings. With a maker’s village featuring 60 local artisans and 19 food trucks, Boulevardia aimed to showcase the best of Kansas City.

Community Impact and Future Possibilities

Chris Haghirian, one of the festival’s organizers, expressed pride in the event’s achievements, stating, “Ending on ten years feels right.” While Boulevardia is concluding, Boulevard Brewing Co., the festival’s primary sponsor since its inception, remains optimistic about future events inspired by the festival’s spirit.

As the final chapter of Boulevardia closes, the memories and experiences it created will undoubtedly linger in the hearts of attendees. The festival leaves behind a rich legacy of music and culture in Kansas City.
