Jaguars’ Devin Lloyd and Ross Matiscik Earn 2025 AP NFL All-Pro Honors
Devin Lloyd and Ross Matiscik of the Jacksonville Jaguars have been recognized as 2025 AP NFL All-Pro selections. Matiscik secured first-team honors, while Lloyd received a spot on the second team. This marks Lloyd’s inaugural selection, while Matiscik has now achieved this honor three times, with this being his second first-team designation.
Ross Matiscik’s Exceptional Performance
At 29 years old, Matiscik has demonstrated his skills on special teams. He has participated in 140 snaps this season and recorded four tackles, ranking third in the league among long snappers. Matiscik’s 22 special teams tackles, since joining the league in 2020, tie for the most in his position.
- Has snapped for punter Logan Cooke, contributing to a net punting average of 43.0 yards, the fourth-best in the AFC.
- Assisted kicker Cam Little in achieving a franchise-record of 140 points, the fifth-highest in the NFL this season.
- Matiscik has been named to the Pro Bowl games for three consecutive years.
Devin Lloyd’s Stellar Season
Devin Lloyd, at 27, had a remarkable impact during the 2025 regular season. He played 15 games and compiled impressive statistics, including:
- 74 tackles
- 10 quarterback hits
- 7 passes defensed
- 6 tackles for loss
- 5 interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown
- 1.5 sacks
- 1 fumble recovery
- 7 special teams tackles
Lloyd’s five interceptions tied for the second most in the NFL, while his six takeaways ranked third. Remarkably, he is only the second player in the past 20 seasons with at least 10 quarterback hits and five interceptions in one season, a feat last accomplished by Lavonte David in 2013.
Notable Highlights
In Week 12, Lloyd recorded five quarterback hits in a decisive victory against Arizona, matching the season high for linebackers and marking the most by a Jaguar since Calais Campbell in 2019. His 99-yard touchdown return in a Week 5 matchup against Kansas City set a franchise record for the longest return and marked the longest for a linebacker since 1941.
His performance was further acknowledged when he received the AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors following Week 4, along with being named AFC Defensive Player of the Month for September.
Both Lloyd and Matiscik have showcased their exceptional talents this season, earning them well-deserved recognition as 2025 AP NFL All-Pros.
