West Bromwich Albion has officially announced the appointment of Eric Ramsay as the head coach of the men’s first team. The 34-year-old brings valuable experience from his previous role at Minnesota United in Major League Soccer (MLS).

Eric Ramsay’s Coaching Background

Ramsay previously led Minnesota United to their highest points total, finishing fourth in the Western Conference during the 2025 season. Additionally, he guided the team to the conference semi-finals of the Audi 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs.

Contract Details

Ramsay is recognized as the youngest British coach to hold a UEFA Pro Licence. He also made history as the youngest permanent head coach in MLS when he took over Minnesota United in February 2024. Over his time there, he managed 81 games, recording a total of 34 wins and 21 draws.

Support Staff

Joining Ramsay will be Dennis Lawrence, who served as his assistant at Minnesota. Lawrence has a rich background in coaching and playing in England. He previously worked alongside Roberto Martinez at Wigan Athletic and Everton and was a first team coach at Coventry City under Mark Robins.
